About

I am a Welsh multi media artist who lives and works in rural Wales UK. I studied at Central School of Art and Design, London, and Goldsmiths College, London. My work often responds to a location and subject matter, with a strong narrative element.

Opening up investigations is my attempt to understand. This process is like throwing a net out at sea, locations, subjects and community input create the net, the casting in becomes the dig, and the outcome from the dig is the work.

Presenting these finds at an appropriate size, media and processes is my practice. Creating works that often have elements of emotion, a poetry and positivity. Making sense of how I see it is the work.

Located on a farm in rural Wales has influenced much of my past work, which is often related to Welsh culture and life on the land, in one way or another. Wool from the Farm has often been my chosen media for presenting my finds, and drawing in the widest of senses, is at the heart of my practice. I am currently looking at new materials, and finding new ways of presenting my investigations.
